Bicubic (Sharp) might work better for digital art than the default Bilinear (Smooth) which does more blurring (smoothing) of enlarged areas.Ģ. Remember, hit OK to “freeze” the transform.
Use the Transform operation (under the Select menu) and choose the Bicubic (Sharp) option at the bottom of the window. Vector tracing might not be the best choice for all types of art.ġ. One trick that can work for some digital art (a logo is a good example) is to convert/redraw the image with vector shapes (Inkscape is a free vector program with convert/autotrace capability) - vector shapes will enlarge without quality loss.
Unfortunately, enlarging a raster image will always result in some quality loss unless you redraw the art.
